We gather at the Central Station (Gare Centrale) at 9:00 – The train to Leuven leaves at 9:17

Our bike pilgrimage is back on track!!

Join us for a fun, adventurous, full of new discoveries bicycling pilgrimage. Don’t miss this chance to meet again with friends in the outdoors, get fit spiritually and physically before your Summer holidays!!!

No need to have the own bike, we will rent the bikes in Leuven for the whole group.

This year we invite you for a Leuven – Tremelo – Leuven route, along the Dijle River and Vlaams-Brabant countryside, following traces of St Damien de Veuster (1840-1889), a Belgian missionary who gave his life for lepers on the Molokai Island in the Hawaiian archipelago.

The whole route has approx. 38 km and runs partially along the river, then through villages and fields. We promise flat paths !!

Some highlights:

Around 12:30
Picnic In Tremelo (where St Damien was born), then visiting the St Damian Museum, and a Eucharist in the local Church.

Around 17:30
Coming back to Leuven and visiting the Sint Antonius Church (where St Damien is buried).

Before going back to Brussels, a possibility of visiting Grote Markt (Grand Place) and have a coffee and more at the Oude Markt 🙂

Return to Brussels around 20:00.

The group max 20 people.
The cost 20,00€, including a bike rental (8€), a museum ticket (7€) and use of the facilities in Tremelo. The cost doesn’t include train tickets nor food on the way.
