Bike Pilgrimage – Following the Ghent Green Spots Cycle Route

Meeting point is at Brussels’s Central Station (Gare Centrale) at 9:00 sharp.

Our bike pilgrimage is back on track!

This year we invite you to the Bike Pilgrimage – Following the Ghent Spots Cycle Route.

Join us for a fun, adventurous, full of new discoveries and bicycling pilgrimage. Don’t miss this chance to meet again with friends in the outdoors, and get fit spiritually and physically before your Summer holidays!!!

No need to have your own bike, we will rent the bikes in Ghent for the whole group.

The whole route has about 45km, runs partially along the rivers Leie and Schelde, and is totally flat :).

Here are the highlights of the day:

 9:00 Sharp meeting point at Brussels’s Gare Central to take the train to Ghent (approx 35min trip)

10:00 Arrival in Ghent and bike rental

Around 10:30 Off we go to discover, first, Ghent’s Saint Bavo’s Cathedral, afterward the green fields around the city of Ghent

– Peace monument in nature in the « Gentbrugse Meertsen » nature reserve

– Picnic on the way, passing by the Huyghe Brewery (Delirium Tremens) in Melle

–  Mass and rest at Ghent (Church to be decided)

Around 18:00 Returning bicycles to rental

19:00 Train back to Brussels 

The group max 20 people.

The price for the Bike Pilgrimage is 17,00 Euros (bike rental 12,00  Euros + Mass donation and Eventbrite fee).

There are limited spaces for 20 people, so please register as soon as you make up your mind. Registrations open until Friday 17.06.2022 at noon.

Bring your picnic,  pray for sunny weather nevertheless bring all necessary for any possible weather, it’s Belgium ;-).  We shall be happy to see you and bike together again!
