Movie Night « All of Us »,  directed by Pierre Pirard, on the International Day of Living Together in Peace, May 16 2022

On May 16, 2022, the 5th edition of the International Day of Living Together in Peace (JIVEP) will be held. For this day, which will be celebrated worldwide, as many citizens as possible will have the opportunity to watch the documentary film « All of Us » for free.

This film traces back the journey of different citizens from several continents who have made the choice and the bet to go towards the other and to overcome the traumas of past conflicts and wars of religion in a current world, nevertheless crossed by strong tensions.

« All of Us » immerses the viewer into these new realities where these citizens are reinventing education, social relations, culture and work with the sole aim of creating a united community, living in peace, in spite of their cultural and religious differences.

Away from the tensions created by the fear of “the others”, we found audacious citizens of different beliefs who dare to take the step towards “the others” to simply live-in harmony. With these stories, gathered from around the world, we can begin to see the emergence of what could be the multi-identity and yet harmonious world of tomorrow.

The message of this film is totally befitting of the spirit of the International Day of Living Together in Peace and of the Universal Declaration of Living Together in Peace, namely the need to live and act together, united in difference and in diversity in order to build a viable world based on peace, solidarity and harmony.

After the movie a discussion/reflection will take place.

MODERATOR: Tatiana Letovaltseva – Military Coordinator of Religious and Moral Assistance Service
